Clever Crisscrossing is a puzzle room located in the City Town Sewers, which will automatically be unlocked during the "Above and Below" quest. The reward for completing Clever Crisscrossing is 1x Banana Peel Hat. To unlock Clever Crisscrossing, the player is required to have a City Key.

Guide

Activate the lever and lower the water level.
Jump down to ground level and move both lilypad blocks. Position the blocks so that when you activate the lilypad function, it creates a walkway connecting the platforms.
Climb up the ladder and activate the lever to raise the water level.
Grab the first block and walk across the lilypad blocks, the wooden platform, all the way to where the white switch is.
Press the white switch to rotate the walkway in the middle.
Walk across the walkway and place the block on the yellow button, lighting up a yellow star.
Walk back across the walkway and press the white button again to turn the walkway back to its original position.
Walk back towards the lilypad blocks, dive down into the water, and deactivate a lilypad block. Pick up the lilypad block and place it on a platform.
Walk up the stairs to grab the second block, and swim with it around the walkways until you reach the stairs at the top of the puzzle room.
Walk up the stairs and place the second block on the yellow button, lighting up the second yellow star.
The Treasure Chest is now accessible!

Climb ladder back up.
Activate the lever to raise the water level.
Grab first block.
Walk across the lilypad blocks toward the top.
Press the white switch to rotate the walkway.
Walk across the walkway.
Place block on the yellow button.
Return back to the white switch and press it to rotate the walkway back to how it was originally.
Swim towards the lilypad blocks.
Deactivate and move one lilypad block.
Place on platform.
Grab second block.
Swim towards the top of the room.
Walk up the stairs.
Place block on top of yellow button.
The reward is 1x Banana Peel Hat.
