Many different flower types are available in the game. They may be obtained by planting Seed (Item) Seeds in different regions or by having empty plots in certain regions (always including Merry Meadow Merry Meadow) during Events Events.

Regional Flowers

Every region has a different native flower when Seed (Item) Seeds are planted in them. Only the Merry Meadow Merry Meadow has spaces for flowers until more quests are done.

Order of Obtaining

Unlocking the different regional flowers requires doing certain Quests Quests. While there is some flexibility, the approximate order of quests that need to be done is as follows:

  1. Curious Caverns: unlocks a day after "Revive the Oasis" (which is My Melody My Melody's level 11 reward).
  2. Dig It Up: unlocks the Trowel Trowel; Wish me mell Wish me mell's level 10 reward.
  3. Beach Blossoms: unlocks flower plots in Seaside Resort Seaside Resort; Lou Lou's resident quest.
  4. Fen Flora: unlocks flower plots in Spooky Swamp Spooky Swamp; Aro Aro's resident quest.
  5. Wild Mountain Time: unlocks flower plots in Gemstone Mountain Gemstone Mountain; Poco Poco's resident quest.
  6. Fiery Flowers: unlocks flower plots in Mount Hothead Mount Hothead; Chico Chico's resident quest.
  7. Reefside Riches: unlocks flower plots in Rainbow Reef Rainbow Reef; Marin Marin's resident quest.
  8. Grand Garden Gathering: unlocks the Greenhouse Greenhouse; Lutz Lutz's resident quest.
  9. Big Dreams Big Schemes (Apple Arcade only): starts the process of unlocking flower plots in Cloud Island Cloud Island; Roseanne Roseanne's resident quest.
  10. Extremophile Flora: Part 1 (Apple Arcade only): unlocks flower plots in Icy Peak Icy Peak; Nina Nina's resident quest.
  11. Dragon's Breath (Apple Arcade only): unlocks flower plots in Mount Hothead Mount Hothead's Caldera, again with Nina Nina's help.

Meadow Flowers

The first available flower plots are in Merry Meadow Merry Meadow. If planted in Merry Meadow Merry Meadow, the Seed (Item) Seed item always produces a single Meadow flower type. This is the player's native flower — a region's default flower type — for the Merry Meadow Merry Meadow, and the Merry Meadow Merry Meadow's native flower is randomly set for each island.

A native flower grown from wild Seed (Item) Seeds can have any of its default colors. Every Merry Meadow Merry Meadow flower has 3 default colors. The Merry Meadow Merry Meadow native flower will be one of the following:

  • Bellbutton Bellbutton: defaults are  yellow,  blue, and  white.
  • Dandelily Dandelily: defaults are  red,  yellow, and  white.
  • Penstemum Penstemum: defaults are  green,  sky, and  white.
  • Tulias Tulias: defaults are  red,  yellow, and  violet.

Whichever one a player has as their native flower, the other Merry Meadow Merry Meadow flower seeds are obtainable through Mystery Seed Capsule Mystery Seed Capsules. A capsule will contain multiple seed packets with one of the other Merry Meadow Merry Meadow flowers in any of its default colors. After 3x Mystery Seed Capsule Mystery Seed Capsules are opened, the player should have gained every other type of Merry Meadow Merry Meadow flower. However, it is not guaranteed to get all default colors in a single capsule. If this happens, the other default colors must be obtained by winning and opening additional Mystery Seed Capsule Mystery Seed Capsules from the Crane Craze "Crane Craze" mini game.

The default pattern is the ombre "ombre" pattern.

Merry Meadow Merry Meadow flowers can also be planted in the Seaside Resort Seaside Resort, the Spooky Swamp Spooky Swamp, Gemstone Mountain Gemstone Mountain, and Cloud Island Cloud Island.
