The Luck & Lanterns Celebration is an 
Event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure and was the ninth event to occur in-game. It was preceded by the Frosty Fashion Frenzy event, had the Hugs & Hearts Festival run during it, and was followed by the Springtime Celebration. The Celebration Stand and collectible event currency are located in Seaside Resort. It originally ran from January 19, 2024, until the end of February 29, 2024.
The Luck & Lanterns Celebration will be available annually from mid January to late February.

Overview
The main purpose of this event is to celebrate the Year of the Snake! A new year is here, and the Luck & Lanterns Celebration returns to bring the Year of the Snake to life! Find Firecrackers and set them off to celebrate and collect lucky envelopes! Then, exchange them for elegant Lunar New Year-inspired decor and fashion. According to the 
Collection Goals for the event, there are 28 types of items you can collect for this event.
Lucky Envelope
Lucky Envelopes are the main form of currency for the Luck & Lanterns Celebration event. They can be used to purchase limited-time goods from the 
Luck & Lanterns Event Stand in the Resort Plaza, as well as for purchasing legacy event items in 
Tuxedosam's Shop and 
Small Gift Big Smile.
They player can obtain Lucky Envelopes in the following ways:
- 5x Lucky Envelopes by activating a
Firecracker, found around the 
Seaside Resort. - 1x Lucky Envelope per
Daily Quest completed.
*Note: In 2024, 
Dragon Pearls were the original currency for the event; however, in 2025, this was changed to Lucky Envelopes.
Firecrackers
The player can find 
Firecrackers around the Seaside Resort. Each Firecracker gives the player 5x Lucky Envelopes.
The player should find 1x Firecracker per day of play. An extra 1 will spawn per day for up to 2 missed days of play, for a maximum total of 3 in one day.
- Note: Information on Firecrackers is still being gathered. A minority of people have found 3x Firecrackers on the first day. This is confirmed to be a bug. A possible reason is that the pity system (which gives additional event currency for missed days) may not calculate missed days correctly on the first day of playing the event; however, the exact mechanism of the bug cannot be confirmed at this time.

The Celebration Stand acts as a shop for Luck & Lanterns Celebration's limited-time items. Lucky Envelope can be traded for what is on display at the time.

The Luck & Lanterns Celebration is an Event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure and was the ninth event to occur in-game. It was preceded by the Frosty Fashion Frenzy event, had the Hugs & Hearts Festival run during it, and was followed by the Springtime Celebration. The Celebration Stand and collectible event currency are located in Seaside Resort. It originally ran from January 19, 2024, until the end of February 29, 2024.
The Luck & Lanterns Celebration will be available annually from January 19th to February 28th (29th on leap years).[1]

Overview
The main purpose of this event is to celebrate the Year of the Dragon! A dragon flies over Friendship Island, leaving behind precious dragon pearls — a sign of good luck! Collect dragon pearls all around the island and exchange them for Lunar New Year-inspired decor and fashion, including your very own dragon costume! According to the Collection Goals for the event, there are 15 types of items you can collect for this event.
Dragon Pearls
Dragon Pearls are the main form of currency for the Luck & Lanterns Celebration event. It can be used to purchase limited-time goods from the Celebration Stand in the Resort Plaza. It is mainly obtained from foraging through 
Seaside Resort or by completing Daily Quests.
Event Booth
The Event Booth acts as a shop for Luck & Lanterns Celebration's limited-time items. Dragon Pearls can be traded for what is on display at the time (10 items).
