Re: Image loading times

You make a good point about loading times. I imagine using a tag like they do lower down the page would decrease loading time, so maybe we could do the same thing up top (though I find them harder to distinguish). Also I'm curious - do you know whether uploading a smaller image (so it isn't resized when the page displays) changes loading times? (Or for that matter, does the format of the image file make an appreciable difference?) If changing the image file itself would help, that'd be good info to have for next time.

I notice that lots of articles have teeny icons within the text (like Seeds). It must be hard to balance the usefulness of those icons against the additional load time!
