According to Badtz-maru's Fish Almanac #42, "Some say using 
Marsh Muddler Lure is the best way to catch a Spirit Betta. "
Occasionally, the player will also obtain the 
"Definitely Haunted (Full Mix)" music disc when catching a Spirit Betta.
