Flower intro scribbles
Flowers are plucked from flowering plants. Once plucked, flowers can be placed for display in special Planter (icon) Planters around the island.
Flowering plants can be grown by planting wild

A single flower has multiple attributes:
- Species (shape or type)
- Color
- Pattern (rare)
Seed packets, sprouts, and flowers are marked in your inventory with their species and color. Only flowers are marked in your inventory by their pattern. ---TODO shown as common in inventory. ---TODO make phrasing more specific and add example pics.
When you first receive seeds they will be of a single species, ---TODO explain wild seeds random species ---
Flowers grown from wild seeds will grow in a limited set of colors that are the starting colors for that species. By using the special process of Hybridization, you can eventually produce a flowering plant of any species in almost every color.
Patterned flowers are a rare occurrence: most flowers display only a single tint or shade. Pattern is an attribute of flowers, not of plants, sprouts, seeds, or seed packets. A plant may produce a patterned flower one harvest, but is not guaranteed to produce a patterned flower for any future harvest. You also cannot create seeds from patterned flowers. ---TODO example image(s) here---

Species themselves cannot be hybridized: a new flowering plant will have the same name and shape as one of its parents, not a mixture of both.
Color can be hybridized by placing two plants in adjacent gardening plots. Color hybridization works within a species as well as between two species.
Pattern (rarity) Patterned flowers occur rarely, with the natural color shown in dark and light patterns. Patterned flowers can't be duplicated, either through seeds or hybridization.

Flowers are plants that can be grown from Seeds and seed packets in flower plots. Flowers come in limited colors by default, but new color variations are obtained through crossbreeding different flower colors together. Rare flowers are flowers with a special pattern applied on top of their color.
