Rose
The Rose is a type of flower and is the event flower for Hugs & Hearts Event. Because it is an event flower, it can only be initially obtained by playing during
Hugs & Hearts Event.
During their event, Roses have a random chance at appearing in empty flower plots in the Merry Meadow and
Seaside Resort every day at reset. Roses will not appear randomly in any other region besides those. However, they can be planted by the player in any compatible region and can breed in any compatible region during the event.
The Rose's default colors are █ yellow, █ red, █ white, and █ pink. Other colors can be obtained through crossbreeding only during Hugs & Hearts Event or in the Greenhouse. When fertilized, Roses have a chance at gaining a
ring pattern by default, even outside of the event period.

Event Flower Exceptions
New Roses can spawn only during the Hugs & Hearts Event event or if inside the
Greenhouse. Roses must be able to spawn in order to obtain new colors and non-default patterns.
Roses can gain their default pattern in any location at any time of the year through fertilization. Also, patterned Roses are able to transfer their color or their pattern out to other flower types at any time of the year, in line with the normal color and pattern transfer rules, even if not in the Greenhouse.
As an event flower, the Rose does not have seed packets. Only grown plants or older can be successfully moved with the Trowel. Plants at the seed and sprout stages give a warning if an attempt to trowel them is made, and the seed or sprout disappears if the player chooses to continue. Plucked flowers cannot be used to make new seeds at the
Seed Dispenser. Instead, they may be used only for decoration, crafting, or composting.
Colors
Like other flowers, it is possible for Roses to gain all flower colors through breeding, but only during the Hugs & Hearts Event or in the Greenhouse. Refer to the "Crossbreeding" guide on the Flowers page for more details.
For colors that require color transfer only, the player should crossbreed any color of Rose with a patterned flower from another type. The flower should have the desired color as its primary color, not its pattern color. For example, a red & white ombre dandelily can possibly transfer its red color when crossbred with Rose. Again, this only works during
Hugs & Hearts Event (anywhere) or in the Greenhouse (at any time of year).
Patterns
The following are what white and the default colors, red, pink, white, and yellow, look like with the default pattern, ring. The default pattern has a 1% chance of appearing with each application of Fertilizer to a non-patterned flower.
The following is an example of what the Rose looks like with a transferred pattern.
