Events are limited-time celebrations that users can participate in in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. They usually have limited-time clothing and furniture items, as well as miscellaneous Daily Rewards calendar gifts. All events reoccur annually. Items from the previous years' events will always be available again during the following years' events.
Event Mechanics
Events can be classified into 4 types:
- primary: A larger, longer event; these are usually the focus of a major "X.X.0" update (like 1.6.0, 1.7.0, etc.) and involve collecting event currency around the
Seaside Resort. - secondary: A shorter event; these are usually the focus of the mid-version "X.X.5" updates (like 1.6.5, 1.7.5, etc.) and often have alternative means of earning currency or items from the event.
- daily calendar only: These may be used to distribute special fashions that do not take extra effort to complete.
- flash: A very quick event; these are means to take only a day or two to complete. So far, only
Happy Haven Days has been a flash event.
The events usually distribute items in 3 ways:
- Daily Rewards: The daily login rewards are often the only way event clothing is distributed.
- Event Stand: A special event shop, either in front of the
Resort Plaza mailbox (for primary events) or in a space closer to the beach (for secondary events) is used to purchase event items with event currency. This is often the only way event furniture is distributed, especially during primary events. - Other: Sometimes the event requires completing other tasks to earn the items. For example, one event has required winning event-only Challenge Courses to earn event furniture.
Most events occur in the 
Seaside Resort so as to be accessible to all players, but some do require having completed some quests first.
Event currencies are usually either around the Seaside Resort or obtainable through 
Daily Quests. However, currency or items for some events are obtained through alternate means, such as by interacting with characters. Unspent event currency has disappeared at the end of every event except for the 
Rainbow Sprinkles obtained during _Icon.png){kind=icon}

Events and reward calendars are usually designed for players to complete if they participate around 70% of the days. Obtaining all event furniture from a longer event may require obtaining the maximum amount of currency for approximately 50% of the days to get one of each furniture piece

This is the current list of events in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Events start with the beginning of the first day and finish at the end of the last day. Dates are listed in the month/day (MM/DD) format. Dates have so far been adjusted every year. The dates may be subject to change because the developers plan on adding longer breaks between events as more repeat in 2024-2025.
