The Greenhouse Icon.png Greenhouse is located in Merry Meadow Icon.webp Merry Meadow near the Merry Meadows Overlook. It is unlocked once the player has completed the "Grand Garden Gathering" quest. Inside the building is a flower patch ideal for growing and breeding flowers of all types. The size of the flower patch can be expanded using Worm Tail.png Worm Tails, FertilizerIcon.png Fertilizer, and Pollen Puff.png Pollen Puffs to create more of its uniquely rich, deep soil.

Usage

The Greenhouse Icon.png Greenhouse is a very powerful tool for gardeners.

Normal flower patches only have a 10% chance of a new seed or plant spawning in an empty flower plot for every fertilized flower touching the plot. Without FertilizerIcon.png Fertilizer, barely any new spawns will appear. Beyond that, successfully breeding two flowers without FertilizerIcon.png Fertilizer is very unlikely. Normal flower patches also have limited flower compatibility, depending on their biome.

However, the Greenhouse Icon.png Greenhouse does not need FertilizerIcon.png Fertilizer for plants to breed. It has a 100% spawn rate in any empty plot touching a plant, meaning that the player can easily get more opportunities at successfully crossbreeding. All flowers have the same breeding rates as regularly fertilized flowers. The only reason to use FertilizerIcon.png Fertilizer in the Greenhouse Icon.png Greenhouse is if the player is attempting to apply a default pattern to a plant.

The Greenhouse Icon.png Greenhouse is compatible with flowers from all biomes. That means flowers from any biome can be bred together, even flowers as different as the Heavy Nettle.png Heavy Nettle and Anemone.png Anemone.

The Greenhouse Icon.png Greenhouse even allows event flowers to breed outside of their Calendar Icon.png Event. It is the only way new colors of event flowers, such as the Marigold.png Marigold and the Eggwort.png Eggwort, can be bred after their Calendar Icon.png Event has ended. The player must still initially obtain event plants during their Calendar Icon.png Event.
