Wish me mell is a friendly rabbit who loves to help people connect with each other by delivering letters and parcels. She became distracted by the beautiful flowers of 
Merry Meadow when passing through and stopped there when she could not find her way to the 
Island Spirit. She does not meet the player until introduced during the quest 
"A Long Awaited Introduction".
Sunblink has confirmed that Wish me mell, with that capitalization, is the official version of the name according to Sanrio.
Personality
"Wish me mell is friendly, with a good heart. She's a little clumsy and loves to write letters and to garden in Merry Meadow." — Wish me mell's character page in-game
Wish me mell was once very, very shy and always nervous about meeting new people, but the love and support of all of her friends has helped her open up to others. That does not stop her from enjoying quiet activities like gardening. She often keeps herself busy by helping out her friends.
Wish me mell's Birthday Celebration occurs annually in late-September.
Gifts
The player can give Wish me mell up to three gifts per day. 
Gifting gives Friendship XP (experience points), and enough Friendship XP will increase Wish me mell's Friendship Level with the player. Gift limits can be reset by gifting a 
Friendship Blossom or using a 
Friendship Bouquet. Certain quests, such as any Daily Quests from Wish me mell, may also reward Friendship XP.
While raising Friendship XP, players will receive 
Honeycomb as a reward for each gift given to Wish me mell. The amount received depends on the value of the gift and increases by 1 at Good Friend and by 1 again at Close Friend.
If the player has reached maximum friendship level (
Best Friend status) with Wish me mell, they will instead receive 1x 
Wish me mell Box for each gift given or Daily Quest completed. It will still contain Honeycomb when opened.

As of the game's version 2.1.1, 
Wish me mell is among the very hardest characters (if not the hardest) to level up to Best Friends status, requiring 12,555 XP, with only 
Kiki and 
Lala having higher XP requirements, but the latter two gets much more XP from their highest-XP gifts than what Wish me mell gets.

The player will reach 
Best Friend status with 
Wish me mell at friendship level 20. If the player takes Wish me mell as a companion to the 
Island Spirit, they can obtain 
Spirit Heart status with Wish me mell, after they've reached Best Friend status with her.
