My Melody's Grandpa is My Melody's grandfather and an 
Island Visitor. To unlock him as a possible visitor in the Visitor Menu (via the 
Menu Tablet), the player must reach friendship level 18 with My Melody, and have met 
My Sweet Piano and 
Big Challenges.
He will visit the player every 4 weeks, if his 
Visitor Cabin requirements are met. Until he reaches a 
5-star friendship level on the player's island, he will assign 
Daily Quests, one per visit to the island. His daily gift is 1x Sounds of Steel.

Visitor Cabin Requirements
For My Melody's Grandpa to move into a Visitor Cabin, it must meet the following requirements:
- Must be in
Seaside Resort to be near My Melody. (Includes Cozy Islands) - Must have three
Rocky items. - Must have three
Volcanic items. - Must have three
Metal items.
To boost the chance of My Melody's Grandpa visiting, add items with the liked tag: 
Music. Each liked item gives 1x 
heart, and up to 5x liked items can be included to earn a maximum of 5x hearts. Maximum hearts greatly increase the chance of a visit but do not guarantee it.
