City Town is a vibrant metropolis cityscape adorned with towering skyscrapers painted in every hue imaginable, shimmering with playful colors of the rainbow. At the heart of the city lies the enchanting 
Imagination Cafe, a place where the player can create exciting food items and serve customers.

How to Access
During the "Ship Shape" quest, 
Badtz-maru discovers a mysterious ship with no crew at his dock. With the help of the player, 
Keroppi, 
Chococat, and 
Kuromi, the ship is repaired with a new power source: the 
Essence of Imagination, made by combining 
Figments. The next day, they set off, along with 
Cinnamoroll, "Into the Fog" (quest) on the boat. They arrive at the City Town dock on an entirely new island.
Afterwards, the player can use either fast travel or the boat at the 
Resort Docks to reach City Town again.
As the player increases their friendship with 
Usahana, they will also eventually unlock access to another area of the city: the Sewers.
Tips for Getting Around Town
Navigating City Town can be more difficult than some regions in the game because of how much of it is arranged vertically. Climbing is very important, as is being able to use your 
Balloons well.
The pipes on the side of the buildings around City Town can be climbed to reach the rooftops. To reach the top of the tallest pipes, it is useful to:
- Get more stamina from crafting
Stamina Apples. - Have
Pekkle's 
"Speed Climber" companion ability, which increases climbing speed. - Have
Retsuko's 
"Adrenaline" companion ability, which decreases stamina loss. - Consume a
Stamina Recharge Potion, which also decreases stamina loss. (It cannot be used if the Adrenaline ability is active.)
Navigating the rooftops and City Town's sky requires a different focus. The best ways to navigate the heights are to:
- Use the conveniently placed thermal air vents to go higher with Balloons.
- Have Cinnamoroll's
"Soar" companion ability, which decreases the altitude lost when floating with Balloons. This is especially good for reaching distant targets. - Have
Pompompurin's 
"Pudding Pants" companion ability, which increases the maximum jump height. - Have Kuromi's
"Super Balloon" companion ability, which gives a height boost when using Balloons to float. - Consume a
Thermal Potion, which also provides a height boost when using Balloons. (It cannot be used if the Super Balloons ability is active.)
Known Bug 
The abilities of Pompompurin or Kuromi (or the use of a Thermal Potion) can interfere with the height boost from thermal air vents. You may need to float back into them a second time to get the full height boost while either is your companion.

Locations 
Imagination Cafe
The Imagination Cafe is a cafe run by Usahana in City Town. It is located in near the City Center fast-travel mailbox. Located inside are the 
Chef's Station, where players can cook 
Mochi, 
Dango, and 
Boba. Also inside is the 
Imagination Cafe Computer, which allows players to open or close the cafe to customers, order special ingredients, or customize the Imagination Cafe.
Rainbow Tower
The Rainbow Tower is located at City Town and is the hub for Visitor residences that players can unlock using 
Orange Sherbet Crates. It is located in near the City Center fast-travel mailbox.
City Critter Park
The City Critter Park is an extension of the Nature Preserve that displays Critters from around City Town. It includes a curator 
Nul that will accept donations of critters from any region and transport them to the appropriate branch of the Nature Preserve. Up to 3 of every City Town critter can be displayed.
Dumpster Alley
The Dumpster Alley is a place where an unwary visitor may end up if lost, but it is also a spot where the adorable 
Dust Bun may be spotted.
Sewers
Beneath the bustling streets of City Town lies a hidden world bursting with charm and creativity—the Sewers. Far from your typical gloomy underground, this vibrant maze is a colorful wonderland where art and adventure collide! Sewers can only be accessed after completing the "Above and Below" quest, when Usahana leads the way underground. To enter the area, the player must 
interact with one of the 
manhole covers located around City Town.
Piano Plush Pals
Piano Plush Pals is a plushie store ran by 
My Sweet Piano in City Town. It is located near the Imagination Cafe in City Town and unlocked once the player has completed the "Piano Plush Pals" quest.
Pekkle's Music Shop
After completing the "Downtown Tunes" quest, the player will unlock the ability to purchase Music Discs. The player can purchase Music Discs at Pekkle's Music Shop, a store run by Pekkle in City Town.
Orchard
After completing the "Branching Out" quest, the player will unlock the Orchard, which will allow them to grow Fruit Trees. The Orchard is located in City Town near the 
City Rooftop.
