The comic book shop sells threeComic Books per day.
The comics available for purchase are random. It can be any Common Comic, a "The Great Gudetama" comic, or any other comic that the player has previously obtained.

Comic Books are collectible items that can be found all around the island and purchased at the Comic and Bait Shop, run by Badtz-maru. Currently, the only purpose of Comic Books is to fill Collections. Once the player has obtained at least one of every comic book within a Comic Book Collection, they can trade them to Badtz-maru in for a Complete Set.
Known Bug
Comic Books received in Multiplayer while on someone else's island may not register for goals in the Comic GoalsAchievements. For it to register properly, you need to acquire it on your own island. Having someone trade you the comic works, so one workaround is to trade the comic to another player on your island and then have them trade it back.
A Complete Set (also called an Ultimate Comic) can be made by combining all Comic Books in a series.
To create a Complete Set from Comic Books in the inventory, the player must speak to Badtz-maru at the Comic and Bait Shop and use the "Ultimate comics" dialog option to request a Complete Set. The option will likely be under the "Something else..." dialog option.
Creating a Complete Set uses up 1x of every comic in the same series. Badtz-maru will first prompt the player to create one the first time they talk to him with a completed series in their inventory.

"Badtz-maru"comic books are found around Seaside Resort. There are a total of 10 comic books within this collection. Badtz-maru #1 is earned when the player reaches friendship level 19 with Badtz-maru.
"Fantastic Friends"comic books are found in multiple regions, with each issue originating from a different region. There are a total of 5 comic books within this collection. Fantastic Friends #1 is found around Seaside Resort. Fantastic Friends #2 is found around Spooky Swamp. Fantastic Friends #3 is found around Gemstone Mountain. Fantastic Friends #4 is found around Rainbow Reef. Fantastic Friends #5 is found around Mount Hothead.
"The Incredible Hello Kitty" Series (click to expand)
"The Incredible Hello Kitty"comic books are all obtained different ways. There are a total of 3 comic books within this collection. The Incredible Hello Kitty #1 can be earned when the player reaches friendship level 9 with Hello Kitty. The Incredible Hello Kitty #2 is found in most regions of Friendship Island but notMerry Meadow or Cloud Island. There are a total of 3 comic books within this collection. The Incredible Hello Kitty #3 is a rare prize from the "Bogging for Apples" mini-game.

Releasing fish from specific regions will allow players to collect currencymaterials from the first 10 fish released daily. How much currency is rewarded depends on a fish's rarity, and what currency is rewarded depends on the fish's region. Releasing more than 10 fish in a day does not have any benefits.
