Enraging Ruins
"Enraging Ruins" is a 
"The Island Mystery" quest that unlocks the 
Red Hot Ruins. The quest is unlocked when the player reaches friendship level 7 with 
Retsuko and has completed the "Power Up the Gate" quest.

"Help Retsuko out in the Red Hot Ruins."
Quest Information
The player speaks to Retsuko outside of the entrance to the Red Hot Ruins in 
Mount Hothead. Retsuko's shouts will break a nearby boulder, revealing a 
Red Power Crystal. The player must find a total of three Red Power Crystals in order to unlock the entrance to the Red Hot Ruins and venture into the lava-filled caves with Retsuko and 
Chococat to search for Retsuko's lost belongings.
Red Power Crystal Locations
There are a total of three Red Power Crystals that the player must find around the Mount Hothead region. The Red Power Crystal closest to the entrance of the Red Hot Ruins can only be collected after "Enraging Ruins" has begun, but the other two are available before the quest starts.

Once the player has plugged in the three Red Power Crystals, 
TOPHAT will appear. He will explain his newly found memory and express his concerns about his best friend abandoning him. After TOPHAT leaves, the player must find Retsuko's 
suitcases, 
clothes, 
laptop, and 
karaoke microphone by navigating through the Red Hot Ruins. Throughout the quest, the player can locate the items via the quest indicator on the map or by following the Quest Guide's guiding light.

Red Hot Ruins: Part 1
The player must enter through the entrance of the Red Hot Ruins and solve the first puzzle (see "Red Hot Ruins: Room 1"). To solve the puzzle, the player must press the white buttons under each indicator so that the purple circle symbol faces towards the center. When all indicators face the center, the door to the next room will open.
Next, the player must complete another puzzle (see "Red Hot Ruins: Room 3"). To solve the puzzle, the player must change the colors of the 
crystals on the left side to match those on the right side. The colors of the left crystals can be cycled through by interacting with them. From bottom to top (or left to right), the colors need to be █ yellow, █ magenta, █ red, and █ sky. Once the colors match, the door to the lower central clifftop will open.

First Suitcase Location
The first of Retsuko's Suitcases will be located on the Red Hot Ruins cliff. After finding Retsuko's Suitcase, the player must gift Retsuko the item.
Clothes Location
Retsuko's Clothes will be located near the first of Retsuko's Suitcases. After finding Retsuko's Clothes, the player must gift Retsuko the item.
Red Hot Ruins: Part 2
To proceed to the next quest location, the player should enter through the right entrance of the lower central clifftop. Next, the player must proceed through another puzzle room (see "Red Hot Ruins: Room 4"). In order to solve the puzzles, the player must place the yellow blocks on the button pointed at by one arrow in the first section or two arrows in sections after that. When the correct button in a section is pressed, the stairs to the next section will appear. The fourth section leads out to the eastern clifftop.

The eastern clifftop does not have more of Retsuko's belongings. Instead, the player should proceed into another room. The way forward is the leftmost entrance.
In that room, he player must solve another puzzle (see "Red Hot Ruins: Room 6"). To solve the puzzle, the arrows on the three columns must point to the directions that match the orientation of the doors. The green X arrow points to the top of the room, the red heart arrow points to the right side of the room, and the yellow star arrow points to the left side of the room. All columns will match if oriented correctly. The player can change each column's direction by pressing the white button nearby.

All exits lead to other rooms that do eventually lead to where the next of Retsuko's belongings are. However, the quickest way forward is through the green X door.
Through that door is a platforming puzzle (see "Red Hot Ruins: Room 9"). The player must climb and jump around the large tower in the room's center to reach the upper exit, which leads to the western clifftop.
Second Suitcase Location
The second of Retsuko's Suitcases will be located on the western clifftop. After finding the second Retsuko's Suitcase, the player must gift Retsuko the item.
Karaoke Microphone Location
Retsuko's Karaoke Microphone will be located near the second Retsuko's Suitcase. After finding Retsuko's Karaoke Microphone, the player must gift Retsuko the item.
Red Hot Ruins: Part 3
The player must enter through the right central entrance of the western clifftop. The player must solve another puzzle (see "Red Hot Ruins: Room 14"). To solve the puzzle, the player must first press the white button in the center of the room. A brief cutscene will then showcase a sequence with the four indicators above the door, indicating the sequence in which the matching buttons may be pressed.
The sequence is random and can be reset by pressing the central white button again. The sequence will need to be reset if the player chooses a wrong button.
The indicator and button pairs are:
- █ red heart: bottom indicator, leftmost button
- █ green X: left indicator, first button to the left of the white button
- █ teal triangle: top indicator, first button to the right of the white button
- █ yellow star: right indicator, rightmost button from the central door

Laptop Location
Retsuko's Laptop will be located on the upper clifftop. Once finding Retsuko's Laptop, the player must gift Retsuko the item.
Red Hot Ruins: Finale
After returning Retsuko's Laptop, Retsuko will see the hundreds of emails her boss has left her. With her rage ignited, she will transform into 
Aggretsuko and sing. Because of her heavy metal performance, the boulder blocking the entrance to the volcano breaks, and a landslide starts. The player must escape with Retsuko and Chococat by entering the newly accessible entrance and riding in the mine cart. The player, Retsuko, and Chococat will be chased down the mine cart track by a huge boulder. Once reaching the end, the player must speak to Retsuko, who is dumbfounded by the newly discovered "ride" down the volcano. Then, the player must meet Chococat outside of the exit to the Hot Springs and speak to him.
