Thistle

All primary thistle colors in a patch in Gemstone Mountain (as the mountain looked before 1.8).

The Thistle is a type of flower and is the wildflower of Gemstone Mountain. Completing the "Wild Mountain Time" quest while Poco is a moved-in resident unlocks Gemstone Mountain's flower plots. Wild Seeds planted in Gemstone Mountain plots become a thistle.

Its default color is violet. Other colors can be obtained through crossbreeding. When fertilized, it has a chance of gaining an ombré pattern by default.

One Thistle is required for Chico, who is an Island Visitor.

Colors

Like other flowers, it is possible for thistles to gain all flower colors through breeding. Refer to the "Crossbreeding" guide on the Flowers page for full details.

For colors that require color transfer only, the player should crossbreed any color of thistle with a patterned flower from another type. The flower should have the desired color as its primary color, not its pattern color. For example, a red & white ombre dandelily can possibly transfer its red color when crossbred with thistles.
