Sunshine Celebration
Sunshine Celebration [note 1] is an 
Event in 
Seaside Resort that runs annually from mid July to mid August. [note 2] It is normally preceded by the Under the Sea Celebration and Paper Parade events and runs concurrently with Friendship Festival.
Sunshine Celebration was the eighteenth event to occur in-game. This event ran in 2023 as the Summer's End Celebration, which was also the second event to occur in-game.

Overview
The main purpose of this event is to celebrate individuality, self-expression, love, and being yourself. 
My Melody ordered plenty of Lemon (Currency)s for lemonade – far too many. Collect and trade them at the 
Lemon (Currency)ade Stand (Event Stand) for refreshing citrus-themed rewards. According to the 
Collection Goals for the event, there are 22 types of items you can collect for this event.
Lemon (Currency)
Lemon (Currency) is the main form of currency for the Sunshine Celebration event. It can be used to purchase limited-time goods from the Event Booth in the Resort Plaza. The player can obtain Lemon (Currency)s from foraging through Seaside Resort or by completing 
Daily Quests. The player can earn at least 11 Lemon (Currency)s per day.
Lemonade Stand
The Lemonade Stand acts as a shop for Sunshine Celebration's limited-time items. Lemon (Currency)s can be traded for the 16 pieces of event furniture.

Outfits for Characters
Participating in the event can unlock different outfits for certain Island Residents. Once obtained, the player can ask the character to change into the outfit at any time. These are mostly unlocked through cutscenes that automatically trigger at resets sometime during the event.
