Sunshine Celebration
Sunscreen spawn locationsSunshine Celebration [1] is an 
Event in 
Seaside Resort that runs annually from mid July to mid August. [2] It is normally preceded by the Under the Sea Celebration and Paper Parade events and runs concurrently with Friendship Festival.
Sunshine Celebration was the eighteenth event to occur in-game. This event ran in 2023 as the Summer's End Celebration, which was also the second event to occur in-game.

Note: The "End Date" is the last day to earn event currency and purchase event-related items. The event stand and currency disappear at the end of the End Date.
Overview
The sun is shining bright, don't forget your sunscreen! Summer is here, and that means Sunshine Celebration has begun! You're going to love all the tiki-tastic new clothing and furniture items during this limed time event. Grab your ukulele and I'll get the bongos; let's meet on Friendship Island for some summertime fun! According to the 
Collection Goals for the event, there are 56 types of items you can collect for this event.
Sunscreen
Sunscreen is the main form of currency for the Sunshine Celebration event. It can be used to purchase limited-time goods from the 
Event Stand in the Resort Plaza. The player can obtain Sunscreen from foraging through Seaside Resort or by completing 
Daily Quests. The player can earn at least 11x Sunscreen per day.

Event Stand
The Event Stand acts as a shop for Sunshine Celebration's limited-time items. Sunscreen can be traded for Sunshine Celebration clothing or Sunshine Celebration furniture sold here. At the stand, the player can purchase the current year's event items, along with previous event year 
furniture, 
clothing, and 
other items.

Outfits for Characters
Participating in the event can unlock different outfits for certain Island Residents. Once obtained, the player can ask the character to change into the outfit at any time. These are mostly unlocked through cutscenes that automatically trigger at resets sometime during the event.

Known Bug
A future day's reward may appear to be checked off if a matching reward is collected from a different daily rewards calendar. This may make it look like days were skipped, but the bug is visual only. Rewards will still be able to be collected in order.
