Raindrops can be obtained via 
Rainfall Flowers, which may spawn in either the 
Seaside Resort, 
Spooky Swamp, or 
Merry Meadow during the rain. In order to make it rain on Friendship Island, the player needs to unlock the 
Aquafall Machine by completing the "Rain or Shine" quest.
When watered using the 
Watering Can, they produce Raindrops (or, more rarely, a 
Music Disc). A total of 15 can be found during a 
Rainfall. Rainfall flowers will disappear once watered.
TOPHAT's Pickup Glitch ability gives players the chance of getting an extra Raindrop.
