Best Friends

Best Friends friendship level or status is achieved when the player reaches maximum friendship level with an Island Resident. When the player is best friends with an Island Resident, in the 
Friends application menu of the 
Tablet, it will be indicated by a golden heart.
Once the player reaches Best Friends status with an Island Resident, they will receive Character Gift Boxes in exchange for gifts and completing 
Daily Quests. Players will also be able to ask Best Friend Island Residents to collect materials around the island for the player in the same way as the 
Collector Hat Nul.
After the completion of the "Absence Makes the Heart" quest, each following day, the player can bring one of their Best Friend Island Residents to the 
Island Spirit to obtain 
Spirit Heart friendship status with an Island Resident. In order to do this, the player must have reached maximum friendship level ( Best Friend) with the Island Resident, and the Island Resident must be able to be the player's companion.
The game has an internal XP system that is never shown in-game, with some being harder to level up than others, let alone to Best Friends status. The difficulties range from reasonably easy (e.g. 
Keroppi and 
Tuxedosam), to extremely difficult (
Kiki, 
Lala and 
Wish me mell).
