Sparkles can be traded in with Pochacco for Game Tickets. When speaking with Pochacco, if the player selects the "I have a question..." dialogue option, and then " Sparkles swap?", Pochacco will allow the player to trade 25x Sparkles for 1x Game Ticket.
"Pochacco loves all things sports and is a great pal for activities and athletics! He is a curious and playful little guy who loves going for a jog and eating healthy treats. He can also introduce you to photography, Island Challenges, and many more fun island activities—always finding something to do!"
In the initial dialog of the "Pochacco Energy Pop" quest, he mentions having a mile time of 7 minutes when he is properly hydrated.
Relationships
He has no particular social connections with any of the other characters beyond the player character, nor with any of the island visitors as of version 2.1.0. He will usually stand by himself stretching his limbs, and generally doesn't interact with other characters except in a handful of quests, Hangyodon's Comedy Club Comedy Nights, and the Gemstone TownDance Hall nights.
He is a big fan of gudetama, but he doesn't interact face-to-face with him either. He was however a member of the Hapidanbui boyband and joins their reunion in the "The Band is Back" quest series from Part 2 onwards.
Gifts
The player can give Pochacco up to three gifts per day, which will raise his friendship with the player. Players will receive Strawberry as a reward for each gift given to Pochacco. The amount received depends on the value of the gift and the closeness of the friendship.
If the player has reached maximum friendship level with Pochacco, they will receive his Character Gift Box for each gift given or quest completed.

In the "English (United Kingdom)" game locale in v2.1.1 and earlier, many American text-strings had slipped through the localization, leading to him getting an unintentional New York-like characterization and talking about "soccer" and how "nothing energizes" him. Those manners were corrected in version 2.1.5.
